Stay away from names that might be potentially embarrassing to both you and your dog. You may even try a little game: read the names out loud and see which one your dog seems to like the most. There are many more cute dog names for female puppies, and one can go on and on but then, all good things have to come to an end, just as this name list. However, while names like Maynard and Merlin are used for dogs, I have a hard time imagining that we would still give one of those names to a human being. If you have allergy from the dog hair then you need not worry as there are some small dog breeds which do not shed.
